Pratik and I have been working together since 2017. He contributed to Sustainable Computing Research (SCoRe) Open Source organization and got selected as a Google Summer of Code intern. I worked with him as his mentor during the summer. His project was 'GoCloud' — a framework written using Go to help Go developers write Open Cloud applications. He was new to cloud however he was a committed student who managed to grasp fundamentals and concepts behind AWS and Google cloud very fast. Eventually, he concluded his GSoC internship with style becoming one of our best students. With his contributions, he was selected again to the GSoC program the next year and did a tremendous amount of work with code refactoring and implementing new features to GoCloud. His passion for Open Source Software development is quite admirable. I am quite confident in recommending him to any organization or academic program as he has the passion and commitment towards what he does.

I had the pleasure of working with Pratik on a Spanner migration tool, an official Google Cloud product, where he was central to its success. Pratik led a team of four engineers, and what stood out immediately was his ability to balance hands-on technical depth with genuine leadership. He built out the migration tooling while keeping his team aligned, unblocked, and motivated throughout. Beyond the engineering, Pratik was equally comfortable in front of the client.
